Black Current Sauce
1 c. black currents {can use red as well]
1/8 c. water
½ to 1 c. sugar {to taste}
Cinnamon, cloves, or nutmeg to taste
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally to mash fruit and to make sure they don’t stick. Cook until thick {about 10-15 min}. Let cool.
Serve over ice cream.
For a bit of a different twist for the BBQ, add black current sauce to your favorite BBQ sauce.
